Ololo Handmade Furniture creates handcrafted furniture in Nairobi and currently accepts local orders.
Because our furniture is individually handcrafted and many pieces are made to order, delivery timelines and arrangements may vary from order to order.
1. Delivery Area
Ololo Handmade Furniture currently offers delivery for local orders within Kenya, subject to the availability of suitable delivery arrangements for the customer’s location and the size of the furniture being delivered.
Please contact us before placing an order if you are unsure whether we can deliver to your location.
2. Order Processing
Furniture is handcrafted at the Ololo workshop in Nairobi.
For made-to-order furniture, production will generally begin after the required order confirmation and payment have been received.
Production time depends on:
The type of furniture ordered;
Size and complexity;
Customisation requirements;
Timber and material availability;
Current workshop capacity; and
Any other requirements agreed with the customer.
Because every piece is handcrafted, production timelines may vary.
3. Delivery Estimates
Any delivery or production timeframe provided by Ololo Handmade Furniture is an estimate unless a specific delivery date has been expressly confirmed.
Customers will be informed of the expected delivery timeframe for their order where applicable.
Unforeseen circumstances, including material availability, workshop delays, transport issues, weather or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, may affect delivery timelines.
4. Delivery Fees
Delivery charges may vary depending on:
Delivery location;
Size and weight of the furniture;
Number of items;
Delivery vehicle requirements;
Accessibility of the delivery location; and
Additional handling or installation requirements.
The applicable delivery fee will be communicated to the customer before delivery where applicable.
5. Delivery Access
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is reasonably accessible.
Before delivery, customers should ensure that:
Entrances and doorways are large enough for the furniture;
Staircases and corridors can accommodate the furniture;
Lift dimensions are sufficient where applicable;
There is adequate access for the delivery vehicle; and
Any building or estate delivery requirements have been arranged in advance.
Additional charges may apply if unusual access conditions require additional labour, equipment or transportation.
6. Delivery & Inspection
Customers or an authorised representative should be available to receive the furniture where possible.
Upon delivery, customers should inspect the furniture for obvious damage or missing components.
Any visible damage or significant issue should be reported to Ololo Handmade Furniture promptly and supported with photographs where possible.
7. Failed Delivery
If delivery cannot be completed because the customer or an authorised representative is unavailable, the delivery location is inaccessible, or incorrect address or contact information was provided, an additional delivery charge may apply.
8. Assembly & Installation
Where assembly or installation is required, the applicable arrangements and costs will be communicated to the customer before delivery.
Customers should not attempt to modify or structurally alter furniture without appropriate guidance, as this may affect the integrity of the piece and any applicable remedy.
9. Natural Timber During Transport
Because our furniture is made from natural timber, minor changes in the wood may occur as it responds to environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature.
These natural characteristics are not necessarily considered shipping damage or manufacturing defects.
10. Delivery Delays
Ololo Handmade Furniture will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed delivery timelines.
However, we cannot guarantee delivery dates where delays arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a significant delay occurs, we will communicate with the customer and provide an updated estimate where possible.
